A Garage Full of Food!

Assume the Market breakfast burrito consumption position.

This one had quite the pocket of cheese near the bottom!

When we back home after the Market, I had some leftover chicken and noodles.

Then I had a brotein bar because I needed my brotein to get SWOLE.

Then Sidney and I were invited to a little get together with some of her parents' friends.

What I found was a garage full of food!

I loaded up with a hotdog (with ketchup and onions), some sweet potatoes, some chicken and noodles, a corn bread muffin, and some cheesy potatoes.

When it was time for dessert, I got a big cookie, several smaller cookies, and a variety of brownies.

Before the night was over, I probably easily tripled this dessert plate with more cookies and brownies. I also found another blast from my past in a Capri Sun juice pouch.

Gummi Me Crazy

This morning I was so excited to go to my chemistry lab that I completely forgot to eat. Oh well, I don't need to focus when dealing with harsh chemicals.

Anyway, I survived. When I got home, I excitedly ate some leftover gyros.

Sidney also made some crock pot Asian-inspired chicken and noodles with peppers.

But at the end of the day, I found myself knee deep in gummy jiggly stuff. There were the cherry gummies, the gummy bears, and the jello. SO much gummy!

Late Nite Burger Delivery

I decided to take advantage of leftovers and have real food for breakfast this morning.

I walked outside and was greeted by a thick fog. It was weird because this was pretty late in the morning.

I then resorted to non-real food for lunch.

And again for a mid-afternoon snack.

The unfortunate thing about today is that I had a test at 2000. This means that I didn't get the opportunity to go home after my last class. I went straight to the computer lab to study. But that means that I would go without food for almost 12 hours. But that's not really a good thing to do right before a test.

Luckily, Sidney was my savior. She so graciously brought me a Baconator and fries from Wendy's.

That's what I call clutch!!

After my test, I came home and smashed some cheesy ranch potatoes.

Homemade Gyros

I was finally starting to sense a restoration in my carb/brotein equilibrium, so I went ahead and had a brotein bar for breakfast.

When I got home, Sidney informed me that she wanted to make gyros. I was thrilled and a little hesitant at the same time. The last time I tried to make gyros, it took 2 days, half a bottle of oil was spilled on the ground, and they tasted fairly bland. But she had a different way. She had a way that only took 30 minutes. So I took a step back and let her do her thang.

She mixed up a bunch of herbs and spices with some meat, she mixed up some yogurt cucumber sauce, she formed the meat into patties, and fried 'em up in a pan like burgers.

Genius!! Although these wouldn't have the same texture as gyros made from meat run through a food processor, they certainly required infinitely less clean up. And what's more important, taste or texture? I would vote for taste, personally. After all, my gyros had great texture. They just didn't taste like much.

After she finished cooking all the patties, we got everything lined up and ready to go.

We had some pocket pitas, some chopped onions, some diced tomatoes (I don't know why), some lettuce, the meat, and the sauce. Here's how I built my first round of gyros. I divided a patty into two halves, placed them gingerly into a pita, and followed them with some onions.

I then dabbed a little lettuce on top.

I followed this with some yogurt  cucumber sauce.

I grabbed another pita and attempted the same thing, but apparently I was too aggressive as it ripped straight away. I ended up only getting some meat and sauce in that one. And, in accordance with traditional Greek cuisine, I got some cheesy ranch potatoes for a side.

After eating this first round, I was impressed. I couldn't help but go in for round two. I got two more pitas and place a whole patty in each one. I didn't bother with the onions or lettuce because the meat tasted so good by itself. And in an attempt to limit messiness, I got some sauce on the side for dipping. This way I could better control where it went.

When we were putting food away, I found a Reese's cup in the fridge. Mine!!

It was a little deformed, I think from having previously slightly melted.

And, since today is Wednesday, I had been to Sprouts. You know what that means! This time I got some classic gumi bears and some gummi cherries.

Fancy Dairy

By the second day after the meatpocalypse, I was still in a carb deficit. That's why I decided to have a blueberry muffin for breakfast this morning, not because they're incredibly delicious or anything.

I did have a brotein bar for lunch, but only for the convenience factor.

For dinner, I conveniently had some leftover chicken strips from yesternight. How lucky!

Sidney and I then decided to get rid of some fudge from the store, but to eat fudge one must have milk. These little fudges were looking pretty fancy, so I decided that the milk should be served in wine glasses. And this is pretty much the only way I'll ever use a wine glass. I mean, it's not like I'll ever use it to drink wine.

But see? Fancy.

Strip For Me!

After all that meat, I was in a carb deficit, so I attempted to rectify that situation with a fried cinnamon roll. It helped a little.

When I was on my home from my ecology lab, I spotted a sick individual.

And when I finally got home, I decided to rekindle the frying kick I've been on of late. I breaded up some chicken tenders and tossed them into some hot oil.

They were looking good!

That's a pile of chicken strips right there!

I got a plate's worth and grabbed my ranch. I was ready.

These were better than the last time, but they still weren't the best chicken strips I've ever had. And if they're not the best, what's the point? It takes so much effort to make them that they should be the best. The only problem is that to make them better, you have to keep trying. Darn the luck!

Afterward, I finished up the few remaining rings that were left.

I also had some lime jello. All that brotein and lack of carbs is catching up to me.

Look at the jiggle!

Look at it.
